Meet the adorable duo Emerson and Thoreau! These two fellows are best buds and have been raised together so they MUST be adopted together. Emerson (on the right) is a 4-year-old 9lb Poodle mix and Thoreau (on the left) is a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix. These two dogs compliment each other perfectly.

Emerson is a very active dog and likes to play, follow you around and sleep next to you on bed. On the other hand Thoreau keeps to himself most of the time but will come up to you when he wants attention. He’s also a barker and can be a little protective, but that’s very common in the Chihuahua breed.

If you are able to provide Emerson and Thoreau with a new home please contact Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) (Houston, TX). They ask that you FIRST review their adoption information and print out a copy of their dog adoption application form. To inquire about Emerson and Thoreau you can either call CAP during normal business hours at 281-497-0591 and/or email Jill (their foster mom). Please note when calling them you must provide the names of both dogs and their reference numbers. (Emerson Ref#  5299288, Thoreau Ref#  5279348)
